The air was extra humid on that particular day. Friends and family were already starting to trickle in and we were all ushered inside the beautiful steel church. I couldn't help but stare up with my mouth wide open. Carla and Dino probably knew that their chosen day would be a scorching one as we were all given fans right before the wedding started. At the stroke of three, everyone started to huddle towards the center pew ready to take photos.
Carla was a sight to behold. She wore a true white gown which looked lovely next to her beautiful morena skin. I stole a glance at Dino to see if he would be bawling his eyes out but I was surprised that, instead, he had a look of pride-- as if he won something. He did.
As we walked the cobbled street towards the reception venue, I felt like we were transported to a different time. I'm guessing this was what the couple wanted their guests to experience. from the old world feel, to the bougainvillas trailing the garden and the beautiful table settings, it had Carla and Dino written all over it.
All Photos taken by Dane--For those of you who don't know, Dino is my husband's oldest friend. He knew him from the time he was still short (yes, he wasn't a giant when he was a kid) and still stammered. From playing in the Javier's tree house, having houses next to each other and to dating girls online (hello, friendster!) they share a bond that only true friends have. He wanted to do something special for the both of them the best way he can. Dino and Carla, we hope you enjoy the photos.
